What it does

Review Responder drafts a professional Google review reply in under 30 seconds. Operator opens the app, pastes or pulls the review, taps draft. The reply comes back operator-direct — acknowledges the specifics, takes responsibility where appropriate, offers a path forward, signs with the owner's name.

Most operators don't reply to reviews because the math is bad: a thoughtful reply takes 5–10 minutes to write, and a busy restaurant gets 100–300 reviews a year. That's hours of administrative work a working operator doesn't have. Review Responder collapses that to under a minute per reply, so reviews actually get answered.

The app handles every review category: glowing 5-stars (quick warm acknowledgment), routine 4-stars (specific call-out of what they liked), 3-star ambiguity (the trickiest — neither dismissive nor defensive), and 1-star problems (the framework that turns a bad night into a returnable guest if the response is right).

Key features

How operators use it

The Monday-morning review batchOpen the app, work through the weekend's reviews. 8 reviews × 30 seconds = under 5 minutes for the week.
Service-recovery on a bad weekendWhen a Saturday-night problem shows up as three negative reviews on Sunday, the app drafts each reply with the right framework so the operator isn't trying to write a measured response while still mid-service-recovery.
Multi-location consistencyOperators running 2–4 locations use it to keep reply voice consistent across all of them, even when different managers handle the actual posting.

FAQ

Will replies sound AI-generated?
Operators can spot AI-templated replies fast — and so can guests. Review Responder's drafts are operator-direct: specific to what the guest said, accountable, no padding. Edit before posting and it sounds entirely yours.
Does it post to Google automatically?
No. The app drafts; you copy and post inside Google Business Profile. That's intentional — operators want the final read before anything goes public on a 1-star reply.
How does it handle a review that names a specific server or dish?
The draft references the specific person or dish by name and addresses the specifics. That's exactly the framework that distinguishes a useful reply from a form-letter.
What about Yelp or TripAdvisor?
Currently Google-focused. Yelp/TripAdvisor reply frameworks are similar but the platforms have different etiquette norms — additional platforms are on the roadmap.
Free tier limits?
10 review drafts per month, indefinitely. Paid tier unlocks unlimited drafts, multi-location, and the operator-style fingerprint training.

Built by an operator

Review Responder is published by ALSTIG INC, founded by Ben Mouton — a 14-year independent restaurant operator. Every app on the ALSTIG stack came from a problem hit during the run, and every feature was tested at Mouton's Bistro & Bar in Cedar Park, TX before release. Free to start. No platform contracts.
