ALSTIG INC ("ALSTIG," "we," "us") publishes the website at alstiginc.com and a family of iOS apps available through the Apple App Store. This page describes what data we collect, how we use it, and how you can contact us about it.

Website (alstiginc.com)

The website collects basic anonymous analytics through PostHog: page views, click events on calls-to-action, scroll depth, and FAQ-toggle interactions. These signals help us understand which content is useful. We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or other identifying information through the website unless you explicitly send a message via the contact link.

The website does not use third-party advertising trackers, cross-site tracking pixels, or social-network widgets that load identifying scripts.

iOS Apps

Each ALSTIG app handles data differently depending on what the app does. The general principle: data stays on your device unless an app feature explicitly requires sending information to a server. App-specific privacy practices are disclosed in each app's App Store listing under "App Privacy" — that disclosure is the authoritative source for what each app collects, where it processes data, and what is shared.

• The Restaurant Consultant — sends prompts to AI services (Anthropic) for the analysis features; configuration data is stored on your device unless you enable iCloud sync.
• Review Responder — sends review text to AI services to draft replies; reply drafts are stored locally until you post them.
• VendorWatch — sends invoice images to a server-side AI service for OCR; line-item data and price history are stored locally on your device in SQLite.
• MenuCraft — sends menu content to AI services for layout assistance; outputs are saved locally.
• MyCookbook — recipes are stored locally; optional iCloud sync for cross-device access.
• ChefScale — scaling math runs on-device; recipe data is stored locally.

For all apps: we do not sell your data, we do not build advertising profiles, and we do not retain personal data beyond what is operationally necessary. Subscription billing is handled by the App Store and RevenueCat; ALSTIG does not see your payment information.

Cookies

The website uses a single first-party PostHog cookie for distinguishing repeat visits in anonymous analytics. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

Children's Privacy

ALSTIG products are intended for adult restaurant operators and their staff. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Data Requests

You can request a copy of any data we hold about you, request deletion, or ask questions about this policy by emailing ben@alstiginc.com. We respond within 30 days.

Changes to this Policy

If we change how we handle data, we update this page and the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes are also announced in-app for affected users.
